After a series of Mandarin Oriental Bangkok’s Patisseries review was launched on our Facebook site Bites of Bangkok we decided to rewrite everything in one article on our official Blog. I’m a big fan of The oriental shop’s dessert and i think this is where you can find the best quality dessert in town. This time we will review these lovely cake one by one then we can give them a rank at last!
1. New York Cheesecake and Ice-cream / Blueberry Cheesecake:
Doesn’t like other creamy and dense rare cheesecake. This fluffy and light piece is absolutely delicious! Not too sweet, light texture but rich of cheese. Moreover, there are many flavours of ice-cream that you can choose. Adding a little bit of fruity flavour by having a scoop of raspberry ice-cream like we did would fulfil your weekend. And don’t miss to try their signature blueberry cheese cake also!
A giant peice of macaron (well-known as one of their signature items from The Oreintal Shop). This brings together nice and sexy flavours like Rose, Lychee and Raspberry. But if you are a big fan of Pierre Herme, This combination might be a cousin of his signature creation, Ispahan.
Three-layer puffs (that are not so crisp unfortunately) balanced by equal drops of hazelnut-flavored cream with a hint of caramel and chocolate, topped with high quality chocolate slice and halved hazelnuts.
Rich and smooth taste comes at the first touch of this beautiful hexagon-shape patesserie. High quality chocolate mouse goes well with bitterness of Bailey (chocolate liquer). Surprisingly, Sea-salt caramel jelly and coffee jelly inside give it more layers to the flavour in every bites!
Passion fruit tart:
This tart comes with a nice presentation. White chocolate ring and the dropper filled with raspberry sauce are just like it came out from the food lab. The taste mainly sharply sweet and sour, strong passion fruits flavour remains after all. We recommend you to order this with a cup of coffee or tea.
Best Vanilla dessert you can experience in town! Their Amazing vanilla cream and crusty tart are the perfect combination. I could say that, I’ll definitely go back for this again!
With the size of diameter smaller than your palm, this little tiramisu is filled with refreshing silky cream, layers of heavily coffee-soaked sponge cake, topped with great dark chocolate and a few soar jam-like drops and more dark chocolate in coffee bean shapes. We spent a lot of time skimming around this cake.
The best part? You bet…it’s the sponge soaked so well that the taste of the coffee did magic in your mouth when combined with the cream. You just wish you don’t have to stop.
Among these 7 menus, We would love to share you our
Top-Three Rank which is a must try……
3rd. New York Cheesecake and Ice-cream/ Blueberry Cheesecake
1st. Bourbon Tart
However, this ranking is a very personal taste, so please experience them yourself and you might find out your new favourite pieces from the Mandarin Oriental.
